The messenger RNA bases are paired up again by more special molecules.
These special molecules start to build up a chain of amino-acids.

Each group of three bases is called a codon.

You can have different codons, such as UGC, AGU and AAG.
Each codon makes for its own amino acid.

Look at the diagram. See where the codon UGC makes the amino-acid C,
AGU makes the amino-acid S and
AAG makes the amino-acid K.

When the chain of amino-acids is complete,
it makes a protein.
